In May 2023, John Hewitt was elected in Hangleton & Knoll ward, where he is a lifelong resident. John is an active member of the community and is committed to serving the best interests of the residents in the ward. John sits on the Licensing and the Culture, Heritage, Sport, Tourism & Economic Development committees. With a keen passion for sport, he is the lead councillor for Sports and Leisure. John also works locally for the NHS and is a UNISON workplace steward.
